DJ Eihusen
DJ was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. He is the grandson of the founder of Chief Industries, Inc. and the third generation to have led the company. DJ attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and graduated in 1995 with a Business Administration Degree. Since graduating from UNL, he has worked in various capacities at Chief, including project coordinator, manufacturing manager and general manager. In 2010, DJ was named President/CEO and Chairman of the Board of Chief Industries, Inc. Through DJ’s leadership, the company has continued to thrive and grow.
As a leader in the community, DJ has served on the United Way Board, Facilities Team for Third City Christian Church and on the Grand Island Education Foundation Board. DJ currently is a member of the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, serves on the Board of Directors for Five Points Bank, is on the UNL CBA Dean’s Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Platte Institute for Economic Research.
David Ostdiek
David was raised in Blue Hill, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1987, earning a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He received his CPA certificate and license in 1989. After graduating from UNL in 1987 David worked for Dohman, Akerlund and Eddy, CPA’s until 1990 when he joined Chief as an internal auditor. Since that time, he has served as Assistant Corporate Controller and Corporate Controller. In 2009, he was named Executive Vice President/CFO and Secretary-Treasurer of the Board.
David has held leadership roles on various community boards including the Heartland United Way, American Red Cross Central Plains Chapter and American Legion Baseball Board. He has also served on the finance committee for St. Leo’s Catholic Church and a capital campaign for Grand Island Central Catholic School. David is also a member of The Nebraska Society of CPA’s and The American Society of CPA’s.
Roger Bullington, P.E.
Roger joined Chief Buildings in1986 and became Vice President of Technical Services for this Chief Industries division in 2006. In 2012, he became Vice President of Construction and Development for Chief Construction Company. Roger received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1983 and obtained his Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1995. He worked for Varco-Pruden Buildings in St. Joseph, Missouri before joining Chief Industries.
He is an active volunteer in the Grand Island community, currently serving on the board of directors for the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the Central Nebraska Growth Foundation. Roger’s experience in civil engineering, structural engineering, real estate development and construction management allow him to be a vital asset to our growth and expansion.
Mark Moravec
Born and raised in David City, Nebraska, Mark attended the University of Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Economics. He was a 3 year lettermen on the Husker Football Team playing fullback for Coach Tom Osborne. He began his career in Sales & Marketing with Cargill Inc. and spent 16 years in various sales & management positions in 4 locations. He then became V.P. of Marketing with Associated Staffing in Grand Island, a position he held for 6 years. He then joined Chief Industries as Director of HR for 8 years until he transitioned into his current position as Business Development Manager for Chief Construction.
Mark is an active member of the community and has served on a number of boards. Currently he is the Chairman for the Nebraska Workforce Investment Board of Directors as well as the College Park Board of Directors. He also sits on the United Way Board of Directors along with other charitable organizations.
Chad Micek
As a graduate from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Chad Micek received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Chad has over 23 years of experience in a variety of fields including design, development and management of construction projects of varying size and scope. His extensive professional experience, strong customer service and detailed administration skills allow him to manage project effectively to stay on schedule and budget.
As an active member of his community and passionate about education, Chad is a Kearney Catholic Foundation Member.
Beth Frerichs
Beth was born and raised in West Point, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, earning a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She went on to get her Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership Development from Capella University while working for Talent Plus as an Analyst and Account Manager. She then moved on to became a Program Manager with SCORR Marketing in Kearney, Nebraska where she developed and executed marketing strategies and plans. In 2015 she joined Chief Development Services as the Sales and Marketing Associate. She is currently Chief Development's Marketing Manager.
Beth is actively involved with the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation. Beth was one of the top producers in the Chamber of Commerce Connector program, has served as the Development Chair and President for the Young Professionals group and is a graduate from the Hall County Leadership Tomorrow program.
Andy Widman
A Nebraska native, Andy earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. After moving back to Lincoln, he become a licensed architect and has worked for architectural firms that focused in retail and education sectors, as well as Design and Project Manager for a local developer prior to joining Chief. He has extensive experience managing University, office, and commercial project types from conception to completion. His attention to detail, understanding of the owner’s project goals, and team approach has helped many of the projects he has worked on to come in under budget and on schedule.
Andy currently serves as the American Institute of Architects-Lincoln Section President. He also has volunteered as a judge for the Society of American Military Engineers Student Mentoring Program as he believes in helping the next generation become more involved in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries.
